Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to join our team. As a NOC Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and performance of our clients network infrastructure. This position is perfect for someone looking to kickstart their career in IT and network operations. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor Network Alerts: 
  • Continuously monitor network systems for alerts and incidents.
  • Respond promptly to network alarms and outages.
  • Escalate issues as necessary to senior engineers or relevant teams.
  • ISP Communication: 
    • Contact Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to report outages, follow up on open tickets, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
    • Coordinate with ISPs for planned maintenance and any service changes.
  • Data Backup Management: 
    • Perform regular tape backup operations and ensure that data tapes are properly stored, rotated, and replaced.
    • Maintain accurate logs of backup activities and report any issues encountered during the process.
  • Incident Logging and Reporting: 
    • Log all incidents, alerts, and communications in the ticketing system.
    • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on network performance and incidents.
  • Basic Troubleshooting: 
    • Perform initial troubleshooting steps for network issues.
    • Work with senior engineers to resolve more complex problems.
  • Documentation:
    •  Assist in maintaining up-to-date network documentation and procedures.
    •  Contribute to the creation of knowledge base articles for common issues.
Qualifications
Education: 
  - High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree in IT, Networking, or related field is a plus.
  
- Skills: 
  - Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  - Familiarity with network monitoring tools is a plus.
  - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  - Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
  - Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  
Experience: 
  - Prior experience in a technical support role or call center is preferred but not required.
  - Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
